Dispatch 21: Wandering Texas Hill Country

Words and Photographs DEDE LUSK

Toni Goss and I took a nine-day road trip to the Texas Hill Country in March to participate in a photography workshop sponsored by SXSE Magazine. Jack Spencer from Nashville, Tennessee was the photography instructor leading the workshop, and the last night we attended a packed art opening for him in Austin at the Stephen L Clark Gallery. Of course we took plenty of photographs along the way. . .

Antiques, Roundtop Texas Antique Fair. Yes, we ended our trip with a full day of shopping.

Dance Hall, Fischer. We found this while wandering country roads

Flying L Ranch, Bandera. We stayed one night. Frank Lloyd Wright designed the ranch cabins and hanger lounge

Home Decor, while Shopping in Austin in the SoCo District. we left these on the wall.

Peanuts, Giddings. We saw this on the main street through town.
